Remembering Ama

Am a bit behind on posting again, what with work and other stuff going on.

Anyway. It was Ama’s 40th day last August 13 and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend. These photos were taken last month during the tribute of her students from St Paul University QC, Angelicum College, and University of Valenzuela. Though it wasn’t the best place for a reunion of sorts, it was heartwarming to see all the batches that Ama taught were well-represented — from batch 2001 to 2013. All the ates when our batch was still freshmen were there. Likewise, we were being called ate by those who came after us. It was like a massive family reunion.

There are still days that I look back on the day I learned the news that Ama had passed away, and there’s that tinge of regret not having made a lot of catching up with her when she was still alive. Up to now I feel my eyes well up in tears when I reminisce. But you know I love you, Ama 🙂 Break a leg there in heaven.
